How to Dismiss a Kansas Issued Traffic Ticket for a Simple Moving Violation

  1. First and foremost, you need to confirm with the traffic court that you are eligible to take a ticket dismissal course. There is no state-wide mandate for dismissing tickets, each county court will grant defensive driving on a case-by-case basis. You will most likely be awarded the privilege of defensive driving school if you: a) have a good driving record, b) your ticket was not for a major offense (like DUI), and c) you do not hold a commercial drivers license (CDL).
  2. If granted privilege to take a defensive driving course, then you can simply sign up for our Kansas Defensive Driving course. Make sure you complete your course before the due date assigned by the court.
  3. Once you pass the final exam, a completion certificate will be sent to you. It is your responsibility to deliver this certificate to the court in the manner determined by your specific court.
