This online lookup tool can also provide you the Traffic School List, which will list all traffic schools in CA that are approved for providing traffic violator school services.

How to Check License Status of DMV Traffic Schools

Follow these simple steps to see if a traffic school is licensed in the State of California:

1. Go to https://www.dmv.ca.gov/olinq2/welcome.do
2. To begin the search for an Occupational License Status of interest, click the "Search" button.
3. Before continuing, you must agree to the CA DMV Legal Disclaimer. Select "I Agree" and click the button to access the system.
4. You will select a business category from a drop down list on the next page. To verify the license of a DMV traffic school, select "Traffic Violator School License" and click continue.
5. There are two ways to search for a DMV traffic school: by business name, city, and zip code OR by occupational license number. Enter your search terms and click "Get License Information".
6. The resulting page will return a list of DMV traffic schools that match your search criteria. The list will only contain licensed schools. Business contact information and license number is provided in the list, or you can click on any traffic violator school in the list to see additional license information.

How to View the CA DMV Traffic School List

To view the entire list of traffic schools in California (i.e. Traffic School List):

1. Go to dmv.ca.gov/olinq2/welcome
2. Click the click the "Search" button.
3. Agree to the CA DMV Legal Notice. Choose "I Agree" and click the "Access the System" button.
4. Select "Traffic School List" from the business category drop down menu and click continue.
5. There is a lot of information on this page (https://www.dmv.ca.gov /wasapp/olinq2/search.do). Above all of the text, click the "Get Traffic School List" button.
6. On the next page, choose your traffic school preference. You may choose Internet, Home Study, or Classroom. Click "Get Traffic School List".
7. You will now see a complete list of all DMV licensed traffic schools for the option you chose (Internet, Home Study, or Classroom). Click on a traffic school for more detail. As an example, here is TrafficSchool.com's DMV listing:
