1. Have you taken an AZ defensive driving class in the last 2 years? If you took a defensive driving course to dismiss a ticket with a citation dated within the last 24 months of your current citation, you may not take defensive driving online (unless ordered or permitted by the AZ Court System or the AZMVD)
2. Was your Arizona traffic citation for a criminal act? If your traffic ticket was from an accident that killed or seriously injured any person, you can't go to online AZ defensive driving.
3. Were you a CDL driver license holder when you were ticketed in Arizona? Online Arizona Defensive Driving cannot be taken by any individual ticket while holding a valid Commercial Drivers License.
4. Is your due date less than 7 days away? You must complete your course 7 days prior to your court date.

Arizona Vehicle Code - Traffic Citation Point System
