Process in California for having ticket dismissed by completing traffic school

Here are the steps after receiving a ticket. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

1. Wait for a courtesy notice in the mail from the court. It typically takes up to 30 days for the court
to file your ticket in their system and send you a courtesy notice.

2. Once you receive the court paperwork, then you will need to pay the fine plus an administrative fee to
the court by the listed due date in order to be approved for traffic school. The notice will provide
you with your options on paying the fees, but you are not required to appear in person. Each court
charges an additional fee to allow you to attend a traffic school or home study program. Please note,
this is separate from any of our charges. If you do not pay this fee to the court, then the court will
not process your certificate of completion with the DMV. In addition, all traffic schools including
classroom, home study or Internet courses will charge separate fees.

3. Once approved, the court will assign you a due date to complete traffic school. You can take just one
course with us online at www.TrafficSchool.com for the violation. Upon completion, we will submit an
electronic DMV certificate for the court to process and close your case, so the ticket does not count
as a point on your driving record. There are no further actions required by you if you have a regular
Class C license.
