My First Traffic Ticket

There are no tickets found in the Los Angeles court system with your information, so it may not be filed if you just received the citation recently. You were supposed to wait for the ticket to get filed, so the court would send you a courtesy notice regarding the fees and your options to request traffic school.

Can you please confirm the date you received your ticket or send us a copy of your ticket?

Thank you for the update. Because you just received your ticket yesterday, your ticket will not have been filed in the court system yet, so the certificate will be rejected. Usually it takes about 2-3 weeks for a citation to get filed in the court system. You should be receiving a courtesy notice from the courthouse in the mail after your ticket is filed. If you don't receive it by the date listed on your ticket, then you will need to contact the court directly.

Once the ticket has been filed, you will need to pay the fine amount and include the court's $64 administrative fee with your payment in order to be approved for traffic school. This information will be enclosed in the courtesy notice.

Please notify us after you've paid the ticket fees with the court so we can resubmit your certificate for processing.
