I got a letter in the mail saying the point still stands on my record

Point on Record

- question from 6/18/2024 by Mark, filed under Point on Record and DMV Driving Record

The certificate for the course was supposed to be sent to the DMV

I completed your driving school course months ago to get a point waived from my driving record. The certificate for the course was supposed to be sent to the DMV. Today I got a letter in the mail saying the point still stands on my record. So I'm wondering what I even paid for? I could lose my license and have raised insurance prices because of this.

TrafficSchool.com Says

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your email. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your traffic school certificate. We submitted your certificate to the court on 2/19/20**.

To resolve this matter, please contact the court directly to verify why your certificate wasn't processed. You can use the following link to access your court's contact information: California County Traffic Courts by County | Contact Info for Moving Violations

Here are some common reasons why traffic school certificates may not be processed by the court:

- Unpaid Fines: There might be unpaid fines at the court, including your ticket's bail amount, administrative traffic school fees, or other court fees.

- Eligibility: You might not have requested traffic school from the court, permission might not have been granted, or you were not eligible to take traffic school.

- Incorrect Information: There may have been incorrect information entered during your traffic school registration, such as your case/citation number, driver's license number, or the county/court of the ticket.

- Late Completion: The course might have been completed after the court-imposed due date.
