Florida Traffic School Process
- question from 6/30/2022 by David, filed under Course Completion and Point on Record
I got a speeding ticket this morning. When do I take traffic school?
I got a speeding ticket this morning in St. Petersburg, FL. I want to take your course to hopefully avoid points and an insurance increase. Do I pay the ticket first and then take the course or do I take the course first? Also, after completing your course can I email the certification to the court? Thanks.
TrafficSchool.com Says
Hello David-
Thank you for your email. Yes, you will need to pay your ticket fees and elect traffic school prior to taking the course. The court will then assign you a due date to complete traffic school, so you will have 60 days from your payment date.
You can find more information here and click on the “Elect Defensive Driving School” button: https://www.mypinellasclerk.org/Parking#57184-traffic-ticket-options
Best Regards.
